Today the weather is better and after our final lessons and presentations we are going to Blarney to see the castle and maybe kiss the Blarney Stone to give us great eloquence! Tonight we have a ceili where we will learn traditional Irish Dancing. We head for Dublin in the morning and a tour of the city and then some free time to explore for ourselves.

After our lessons in the centre we went to Kinsale and to the beach at Garretstown and some brave people went surfing! Unfortunately the rain came as well and the beach was as wet at the sea! Afterwards we went into Kinsale and got hot drinks and dried out!

We spent the morning with our host families and then went by coach to Cobh. We saw the cathedral and the harbour and the big cruise ship that had docked in Cobh for the day. There was entertainment in the streets and the sun came out!

After our lessons today we are going to go by coach with Michael to Cork City where we will meet our guide Fiona. Fiona will tell us about the history of Cork and we shall see the beautiful university (University College Cork) and we’ll take a look at the English Market which sells lots of different fresh products. After the tour we will have some free time to explore Cork for ourselves. Tomorrow we are going to spend the morning with our host families and maybe sample a “full Irish breakfast”!

This afternoon we are going to go to the local GAA pitch to learn about the traditional Irish sports of Hurling and Gaelic Football and then off to a local beach as the sun is shining!
